JT.

I built the place. And every so often, I write from inside it.

JT is the founder of The How To Network. He doesn’t run a lane — he runs the whole thing: the writers, the standard, the long game. But on the Home side, from time to time, he writes the one thing he can’t say anywhere else.

Why this exists

A network built on one stubborn idea — that the things that matter most can still be taught.

The How To Network started as a reaction. Too much of the internet is performance — hacks that don’t survive contact with a real life, advice from people who’ve never had to use it. I wanted the opposite. Guides written by people who’ve actually done the thing, in plain language, with nothing to sell you.

Nine editions, one network — and one rule of the house: no how-to you can’t describe to a friend at the kitchen table. I hire for that. I edit for that. And once in a while, when something in my own life refuses to stay quiet, I write for it too — on the Home side, where the hardest how-tos live.

The house rule
If we can’t say it plainly, we haven’t earned the right to publish it.

Off the record

I’m not a contractor. I’m just a man with a few things to say.

Let me be clear about what this isn’t. I’m not a contractor or a licensed tradesman, and nothing I write here is advice. I’m the founder. My job is the network — the writers, the standard, the long game.

But I write these on the Home side on purpose. The Home lane is where we make room for the things that are hard to say out loud — grief, fathers, the quiet work of being a person. Once in a while I need that room too.

So this page isn’t a beat or an archive. It’s just me, and mine. When something matters enough to write down, you’ll find it here.

And if something here resonates with you, I’m glad — truly. But I’ll be honest with you: this one’s mostly therapeutic for me.

Until the next one

If there’s someone you’ve been meaning to call — call them. Not to deliver a speech. Just to tell them one thing they got right.
